§ 2-109 BUILDING OFFICIAL. Unless appointed by the city manager, the director shall appoint a building official. The building official shall be responsible, generally, for the issuance or revocation of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and sign permits and the enforcement of all related ordinances.
