§83.0301 Purpose and Intent The City Council enacts this Division to establish a process for allowing providers to rent shared mobility devices for public use in the City of San Diego. The City Council finds that authorizing City streets for this purpose furthers its goal of encouraging alternative methods of transportation while protecting public health and safety and maintaining accessibility under local, state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, the Americans with Disabilities Act. (“Purpose and Intent” added 5-17-2019 by O-21070 N.S.; effective 6-16-2019.) (Amended 6-27-2022 by O-21467 N.S.; effective 7-27-2022.)
