§ 31-178. - Water pipes. (a) All water piping shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with State statutes and this Code. (b) The water piping system shall not be connected with nonpotable or questionable water supplies and shall be protected against the hazards of backflow and backsiphonage. (c) Within the area served by the municipal water supply there shall be no cross connection between private water systems. (d) All water connections shall be weather-tight when used for direct connections to mobile homes and travel trailers. The connections shall be constructed as to not be damaged by the parking of mobile homes or travel trailers. (Code 1970, § 9-408; Code 1980, § 31-148)
