Jacksonville Ordinance Code § 250.201 Auctioned property labeled.

Sec. 250.201. - Auctioned property labeled. There shall be affixed to all property sold or offered for sale by an auctioneer a label containing, in the English language, a description of the property and the minimum sale price. The label shall be read aloud to the prospective purchaser before the property is offered for sale and shall remain on the article and be delivered to the purchaser as a representation of the property sold. Jacksonville Ordinance Code § 250.202 Minimum sale price constitutes offer to sell.

Sec. 250.202. - Minimum sale price constitutes offer to sell. The minimum stated sale price shall constitute the auctioneer's offer to accept any bid of that amount not raised by another bidder and to sell the article at any final bid equal to or exceeding it. (Ord. 93-1761-1390, § 1)

Jacksonville Ordinance Code § 250.203 By-bidders, cappers and boosters prohibited.

Sec. 250.203. - By-bidders, cappers and boosters prohibited. No person shall: (a) Act, or employ another to act, as a by-bidder, capper or booster at any auction sale. (b) Make or accept any false or misleading bid. (c) Pretend to buy or to sell any property sold or offered for sale at any auction. (Ord. 93-1761-1390, § 1)

Jacksonville Ordinance Code § 250.204 Notice and inspection of auctions.

Sec. 250.204. - Notice and inspection of auctions. (a) No auctioneer shall conduct an auction without giving the Sheriff at least 12 hours' prior notice of the time and place of the auction, the auctioneer's name and the general character of the property to be auctioned. (b) The Sheriff may observe the conduct of auctions, examine the property to be auctioned, and prohibit all or a part of any auction until the requirements of this Part are met.
