2-64-025 Educational materials - Purchasing authority. Subject to the availability of funds duly appropriated therefor, the library commissioner is authorized to contract for and purchase, for library purposes, magazines, books, periodicals and similar articles of an educational or instructional nature, in paper, electronic, or other formats. The commissioner shall provide a quarterly report of contracts entered and purchases made pursuant to this section to the board of library trustees established pursuant to 75 ILCS 5/4-1 et seq.
