§ 43-1. - Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) Members of the Police Department means all City employees who are subject to the administrative supervision and control of the Police Department during their hours of City employment. (2) Police officers means all persons commissioned to perform regular police duties in the operation of the Police Department. (Code 1970, § 27-6; Code 1980, § 43-1)
