14X-7-702.4.2 Hazards associated with fire exposure. Electrical switches, receptacles, and fixtures, including furnace, water heating, security system, and power distribution circuits, that have been exposed to fire must be replaced in accordance with the Chicago Building Rehabilitation Code. Exception: Electrical switches, receptacles, and fixtures may be repaired where an inspection report from the equipment manufacturer or manufacturer’s representative indicates that the equipment has not sustained damage that requires replacement.
