§ 37-86. - Motive power. Motive power for all well pumping equipment shall be electricity. Provided, however, that in respect to wells in operation with non-electric pumping equipment prior to November 6, 1984, the Development Center shall have authority to waive the requirements of this section if it is determined in a particular case that electric pumping equipment is not necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare.
