SEC. 31-2. SETTING OF BOOBY-TRAPS. (a) A person commits an offense if he installs upon premises, a trap or device of any kind, designed to do bodily harm to a person entering into or upon the premises. (b) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that the device is a tear gas device installed on a safe, vault, cabinet, or vending machine, which is activated only when the equipment is wrongfully opened.
