Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.010 Defined.

10.65.010 - Defined. For purposes of this Chapter, the term "door-to-door selling" and its derivations shall include selling or soliciting of sales by minors, either alone or in pairs or teams, in business and residential districts, parking lots and malls. (Ord. 3187 § 1 (part), 1985)

Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.020 Minors under age ten—Unlawful to employ.

10.65.020 - Minors under age ten—Unlawful to employ. It shall be unlawful for any person to employ, permit or suffer any minor under the age of ten to engage in door-to-door selling of newspaper or magazine subscriptions, or of candy, cookies, flowers or other merchandise or commodities. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.030 Minors between ages ten and sixteen—Unlawful to employ—Exception.

10.65.030 - Minors between ages ten and sixteen—Unlawful to employ—Exception. It shall be unlawful for any person to employ, permit or suffer any minor between the ages of ten and sixteen to engage in door-to-door selling of newspaper or magazine subscriptions, or of candy, cookies, flowers or other merchandise or commodities, unless the conditions set forth in Section 10.65.040 are met. (Ord. 3187 § 1 (part), 1985)

Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.040 Minors between ages ten and sixteen—Requirements.

10.65.040 - Minors between ages ten and sixteen—Requirements. Minors between the ages of ten and sixteen who engage in door-to-door selling of newspaper or magazine subscriptions, or of candy, cookies, flowers or other merchandise or commodities must: (A) Obtain and carry on their persons a standard letter of approval to work from Clark County Juvenile Court Services; (B) Work in pairs as a team, on the same, or on opposite sides of the same, street within the same block; (C) Be supervised by an adult supervisor for each crew of ten or fewer minors; and (D) Be within the sight or sound of the adult supervisor at least once every fifteen minutes. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.050 Minors under age of sixteen—Hours.

10.65.050 - Minors under age of sixteen—Hours. Minors under the age of sixteen who engage in door-to-door selling of newspaper or magazine subscriptions, or of candy, cookies, flowers or other merchandise or commodities may work only during the following hours: (A) Between the hours of nine a.m. and eight-thirty p.m. when standard time is observed; and (B) Between the hours of nine a.m. and nine p.m. when daylight saving time is observed. (Ord. 3187 § 1 (part), 1985)

Las Vegas Municipal Code § 10.65.060 Exemptions.

10.65.060 - Exemptions. The provisions of this Chapter, with the exception of Section 10.65.050, shall not apply to: (A) Persons who comply with the provisions of State law regarding charitable solicitations; (B) Persons who engage or employ minors to solicit or sell subscriptions to newspapers or magazines from door-to-door when such newspapers or magazines are delivered by carriers who take title to and deliver them on established routes, whether such solicitations or sales occur within a carrier's designated route or not; and (C) Minors who make solicitations or sales on behalf of the persons described in subsections (A) and (B) of this Section.
