Indianapolis-Marion County Revised Code § 283-901 Established, purpose, members.

Sec. 283-901. - Established, purpose, members. (a) There is hereby established the Indianapolis Youth Commission ("commission"). (b) The purpose of the commission is to make recommendations to the council, and discuss with the council important issues affecting youth in the city. (c) The members of the commission shall be between the ages of fifteen (15) and nineteen (19) and shall be appointed by the president of the council for a term of one (1) year. The members shall serve at the pleasure of the president of the council and will be eligible for reappointment. (G.O. 52, 2020, § 1)

Indianapolis-Marion County Revised Code § 283-902 Officers.

Sec. 283-902. - Officers. At the first meeting of the commission each year, the members shall select: (1) One (1) member to serve as its chairperson; (2) One (1) member to serve as its vice chairperson; and (3) One (1) member to serve as its secretary. The secretary shall keep the official minutes of the meetings, reserve meeting room space, and handle meeting notices. (G.O. 52, 2020, § 1)

Indianapolis-Marion County Revised Code § 283-903 Meetings.

Sec. 283-903. - Meetings. The Indianapolis Youth Commission shall establish a meeting schedule. The commission shall also set rules for its governance and establish its procedures for conducting public meetings. (G.O. 52, 2020, § 1)

Indianapolis-Marion County Revised Code § 283-904 Reimbursement and expenses.

Sec. 283-904. - Reimbursement and expenses. Commission members shall be entitled to reimbursement for their necessary and direct expenses, subject to the approval of the president of the council. (G.O. 52, 2020, § 1)
