Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-451 Restricted areas.

§ 38-451. - Restricted areas. Water skiing shall be permitted on the Atoka Reservoir-Reservation only in those areas designated and marked by signs and buoys, and shall follow the prescribed course marked by said buoys, and boats and skis shall proceed in a counterclockwise direction. Any watercraft propelled by machinery used or capable of being used to simulate water skiing without the aid of a separate towing boat shall be regulated as a water skiing vehicle and confined thereby to the areas designated for water skiing. All water skiing shall be subject to the safety regulations issued by the Director and to the other provisions of this article. (Code 1970, § 23-13(b); Code 1980, § 38-451)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-452 Course and direction.

§ 38-452. - Course and direction. Water skiing shall follow a prescribed course marked by buoys, and shall run in a counterclockwise direction. All boats shall move generally in a counterclockwise direction. (Code 1970, § 23-124(a), (b); Code 1980, § 38-452)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-453 Life preservers and ski belts.

§ 38-453. - Life preservers and ski belts. During water skiing operations life preservers shall be provided for all boat passengers and ski belts shall be worn by all skiers. (Code 1970, § 23-124(c); Code 1980, § 38-453)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-454 Passenger or mirror to observe skier.

§ 38-454. - Passenger or mirror to observe skier. The ski tow boat shall have either a second person in the boat, in addition to the driver, or a rear vision mirror for observing the person being towed. (Code 1970, § 23-124; Code 1980, § 38-454)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-455 Maximum number of skiers per boat.

§ 38-455. - Maximum number of skiers per boat. No more than two skiers shall be towed by any one boat at the same time. (Code 1970, § 23-124(g); Code 1980, § 38-455)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-456 Permissible hours.

§ 38-456. - Permissible hours. Water skiing shall be allowed only during daylight hours from sunup to sundown each day. (Code 1970, § 23-124(d); Code 1980, § 38-456)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-457 Length of tow ropes.

§ 38-457. - Length of tow ropes. Tow ropes for water skiing operations shall be not less than 75 feet in length. (Code 1970, § 23-124(f); Code 1980, § 38-457)
