San Diego Municipal Code § 27.0307

§27.0307 Write-in candidates seeking nomination and election by write-in ballot shall complete and sign under California perjury laws a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy and Oath at the time of submitting nomination papers to the City Clerk. The Declaration of Write-in Candidacy and Oath shall be countersigned by the City Clerk or the City Clerk’s authorized deputy, and shall be considered filed at the time of signing.
