Section BC 2611: Light-Transmitting Plastic Interior Signs 2611.1 General. Light-transmitting plastic interior wall signs shall be limited as specified in Sections 2611.2 through 2611.4. Light-transmitting plastic interior wall signs in covered and open mall buildings shall comply with Section 402.6.4. Light-transmitting plastic interior signs shall also comply with Section 2606. 2611.2 Aggregate area. The sign shall not exceed 20 percent of the wall area. 2611.3 Maximum area. The sign shall not exceed 24 square feet (2.2 m2). 2611.4 Encasement. Edges and backs of the sign shall be fully encased in metal.
