17.720.010 General. When allowed by division II of this title in the applicable zone, surface mining operations and the reclamation of mined lands are subject to the requirements of this chapter. This chapter supplements and should be reviewed in conjunction with the California Surface Mining and Reclamation Act of 1975 (section 2710 et seq. of the California Public Resources Code), as amended, which contains additional information and requirements applicable to surface mining operations and reclamation.
