Sec. 996-73. - Pre-licensure inspection of taximeter. The license administrator as assigned by the deputy director of the division of construction and business services, with the assistance of the inspector of weights and measures of the department of business and neighborhood services, shall inspect the taximeter of each vehicle to be licensed as a taxicab to establish whether the taximeter is operating properly.
