18-29-606.5.6 Potable water inlet control and location. Potable water inlets to gravity tanks shall be controlled by a ball cock or other automatic supply valve to prevent the tank from overflowing. The inlet shall be terminated as to provide an air gap not less than 4 inches (100 mm) above the overflow.
