Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 59-8100
in effect§ 59-8100. - General provisions.
8100.1. General Intent of Use Unit Classifications. A use unit classification is a group of related individual uses having similar functions, products, or performances which provide a basis for their systematic assignment to specific zoning districts in accordance with criteria directly relevant to the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Oklahoma City.
8100.2. Interpretation. The Planning Director shall decide questions of the inclusion or exclusion of a particular principal use within a use unit classification, with the right of appeal to the Board of Adjustment. A use, if specifically listed in a use unit classification, shall not, by interpretation, be included as a principal use within any other classification.
8100.3. Application of Use Units. The use units contained in this article shall be applied to the following categories of this chapter for the purpose of determining which land uses are eligible in each zoning district.
A. The following use unit matrices and provisions:
(1) Agricultural and residential use unit matrix included in Article VI, Zoning Base Districts, of this chapter.
(2) Office and commercial use unit matrix included in Article VI, Zoning Base Districts, of this chapter.
(3) Industrial use unit matrix included in Article VI, Zoning Base Districts, of this chapter.
(4) Special district use unit matrixes and provisions included in Article VII, Special Purpose and Overlay Districts, of this chapter.
(5) The following provisions listed in Section 59-4250 (Discretionary Review Procedures):
(6) Section 59-4250.1 (Special Exception Uses)
(7) Section 59-4250.2 (Special Permits)
8100.4. Use Unit Index. All land uses are hereby classified under the use units contained in Sections 59-8150 through 59-8450 of this article.
