9.52.140.5 - Section 5706.5.1.11 Switch Loading, Amended. Tank vehicles or tank cars that have previously contained Class I liquids shall not be loaded with Class II or III liquids until such vehicles and all piping, pumps, hoses and meters connected thereto have been completely drained and flushed. Exception: Switch loading is permitted when all precautions and practices are met in accordance with API, RP 2003 — 1998 Protection Against Ignitions Arising out of Static, Lightning, and Stray Currents.
