Sec. 14-7-1. - Existing building code adopted by reference.
The 2015 Edition of the International Code Council International Existing Building Code is hereby adopted, a copy of said code being on file in the Office of Council Records of the Memphis City Council.
The local amendments to the sections of the 2015 Edition of the International Code Council International Existing Building Code noted in the attached Exhibit A [on file with the city] are also adopted and together these provisions and the 2015 Edition of the International Code Council International Existing Building Code shall become the 2018 Memphis and Shelby County Existing Building Code.
Appendix A - Guidelines for the Seismic Retrofit of Existing Buildings and Appendix B - Supplemental Accessibility Requirements for Existing Buildings and Facilities of the 2015 Edition of the ICC International Existing Building Code are hereby specifically adopted, but that Appendix C - Guidelines for the Wind Retrofit of Existing Buildings listed in the 2015 Edition of the ICC International Existing Building Code is not adopted.
