14C-6-010 Adoption of the Safety Standard for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts by reference. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ ASME A18.1 Safety Standard for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts, 2014 edition (hereinafter known as ASME A18.1) is adopted by reference and shall be considered part of the requirements of this chapter, except as modified by specific provisions of this code.
