§ 18-40. - Action on application. The Chief Electrical Inspector, or designated representative, shall examine or cause to be examined all applications for permits under this division, and amendments thereto, within a reasonable time after filing. If the application or the plans do not conform to the requirements of all pertinent laws, such application shall be rejected. If the Chief Electrical Inspector, or designated representative, is satisfied that the proposed work conforms to the requirements of this chapter and all laws and ordinances applicable thereto, a permit shall be issued as soon as practicable.
