§ 18-1 SWIMMING - PERMIT REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN AREA. It shall be unlawful for any person to bathe or swim in the waters of the reservoir known as Lake Worth at any point or place on the shores or in the waters between the Nine Mile Bridge and what is known as the municipal bathing beach, located in the west end of the Nine Mile Bridge, upstream to a point running with and parallel to the north line of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 34, in Tarrant County, Texas, and extending from the west to the east shoreline of such reservoir or Lake Worth, without a special written permit as hereinafter provided. Fort Worth City Code § 18-2 SAME - ISSUANCE OF PERMITS.

§ 18-2 SAME - ISSUANCE OF PERMITS. The mayor is empowered to grant special written permits for bathing or swimming in the waters of Lake Worth above, and upstream, from what is known as the municipal bathing beach and Nine Mile Bridge. Any person to whom such permit is issued shall make the necessary provisions to safeguard the lives of persons enjoying the benefits of such permit and to prevent the pollution of the waters of Lake Worth or the reservoir as may be designated in such permit. Fort Worth City Code § 18-3 BOATS FOR SALE, HIRE OR RENT.

§ 18-3 BOATS FOR SALE, HIRE OR RENT. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to rent, sell or hire any boat or skiff of any kind or character at any place on the waters, banks or shores of Lake Worth for use on Lake Worth, or to keep the same for sale, rent or hire, except at the places, docks or piers designated by the city council for such use. (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to anchor, dock or tie, or keep any boat or skiff of any kind or character anchored, docked, tied or otherwise held at any place on the banks, shores or waters of Lake Worth for hire, rent or sale to others, or for the use of any person other than the owner, except at the places, docks or piers designated by the city council for such use. Fort Worth City Code § 18-4 BOAT RAMP USE FEE.

§ 18-4 BOAT RAMP USE FEE. (a) It shall be unlawful to use the boat ramps at Arrow S and Casino Beach Parks without a valid boat ramp use sticker affixed to the trailer of the boat, as directed by the city. A person shall pay the required fee to acquire a boat ramp use sticker from the city or the city’s designee. The boat ramp use fee(s) shall be as follows: Nonresidents of the City of Fort Worth | $20 Residents of the City of Fort Worth | $15 Water craft dealer | $90 Weekly boat ramp use fee | $5 (b) The boat ramp use fee for residents and nonresidents shall be valid from the date of issuance until December 31 of the same year. (c) The weekly boat ramp use fee shall be valid for seven days from the date of purchase and expire on the date shown on the sticker. (d) An offense under this section shall be punishable by a fine of up to $500. Each day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense. Fort Worth City Code § 18-6 BOAT TOILET FACILITY INSPECTION REQUIRED.

§ 18-6 BOAT TOILET FACILITY INSPECTION REQUIRED. (a) It shall be unlawful to operate on Lake Worth without an inspection sticker issued by the city, a boat with a toilet facility or a boat with an enclosed area capable of containing a toilet facility. The inspection sticker shall be valid from January 1 through December 31 of the year issued. The boat must be available for inspection when the inspection sticker application is filed. (b) Toilet facilities located on boats shall be either a self-contained or a securely affixed discharge holding tank located on the boat. The holding tank shall meet the following specifications. (1) The holding tanks shall be emptied into on-shore facilities approved and licensed by the city. (2) The holding tanks shall be constructed of material that will withstand the corrosive effects of sewage and any disinfecting chemicals. (3) The holding tanks shall be firmly anchored and located to eliminate the possibility of rupture. (4) The holding tanks must be properly vented to the outside of the boat so as not to defile the interior of the boat. (Ord. 10770, § 3, passed 1-22-1991)
