2.52.050 - Appointment—Report of to mayor—Summoning appointee to service. Upon making such appointment the chief of police shall report the same to the mayor, who may if he deems proper summon such appointee into service as a special policeman. The summons by the mayor may be by endorsement on the appointment or by other informal means of indicating such action. (Prior code § 2-4(4))
