§ 55-88. - Reading meters. The hydrant flush meter issued to a permit holder shall be returned to the Utility Customer Services Division on or before the expiration date of the permit. Upon return to the Utility Customer Services Division the flush meter shall be read and the permit holder shall pay for the water used at the rates set out in Division 4 of this article. However, as one of the conditions of the permit, the utilities superintendent may require the permit holder to periodically present the flush meter issued to him, during the life of his permit, to the Utility Customer Services Division for inspection and reading. Billings for the water used shall be rendered at the time the meter is read and shall become due as provided for regular water bills elsewhere in this article. (Code 1970, § 35-55(c); Ord.
