Order of precedence.
Columbus City Codes § 111.20
in effect111.20 - Order of precedence.
When a question or proposition is before the council, or under debate, no motion shall be received except the following:
First - to adjourn
Second - order of the day
Third - to lay on the table
Fourth - for the previous
Fifth - to postpone to a day certain
Sixth - to commit
Seventh - to amend
Eighth - to postpone indefinitely
Which several motions shall have precedence in the order in which they are arranged.
