Sec. 38-93.2. - Assault and public fighting—Affirmative defense. It shall be an affirmative defense to a violation of sections 38-93 and 38-93.1 that all persons fighting or inflicting violence were engaged in an amateur or professional contest of athletic skill that was sponsored or sanctioned by an established athletic organization, that the actor's conduct was not reasonably capable of causing serious bodily injury or death, and that the actor's conduct was a reasonably foreseeable hazard of participation in the athletic contest.
