Sec. 5.120 - Special elections: Notice of election. 1. The city clerk shall cause a notice of a special municipal election to be published at least once a week for 2 consecutive weeks by 2 weekly insertions 1 week apart, the first publication to be not more than 14 days nor less than 8 days next preceding the special election. 2. The notice of the special election must contain: (a) The date and places of holding the election. (b) The hours during the day in which the polls will be open, which must be the same as are provided for general elections. (c) A statement of the question in substantially the same form as it will appear on the official ballot.
