in effect2.64.160 - Participation in pension system—Employees of the city employees' pension fund board of trustees.
All full-time employees of the city employees' pension fund board of trustees may participate at their option as members of the city employees' pension fund and all provisions of this chapter, including provisions applicable to unclassified employees, shall be applicable to such participating employees of the city employees' pension fund board of trustees, except as follows:
A. Each employee must have written approval from the city employees' pension fund board of trustees as documented in a contract for employment;
B. All employer contributions required by this chapter shall be paid from assets of the city employees' pension fund; and
C. Notwithstanding anything contained in this section to the contrary, the city shall not pick-up or pre-tax, buy-back contribution payments made pursuant to this section.
