Columbus City Codes § 951.01 Riverfront commission established.

951.01 - Riverfront commission established. For the purpose of coordinating the development of the riverfront areas of the city of Columbus in accordance with the comprehensive riverfront development plan, there is created an advisory commission to be known as the "Riverfront commission". (Ord. 1443-65.)

Columbus City Codes § 951.02 Members.

951.02 - Members. The Riverfront commission shall be composed of five (5) citizens of the city or county of Franklin to be appointed by the mayor with the concurrence of council; three (3) of said members to be appointed from a list recommended by the downtown area committee of the Columbus Area chamber of commerce. (Ord. 1443-65.)

Columbus City Codes § 951.03 Term of members.

951.03 - Term of members. The five (5) members of the commission shall be appointed for one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4) and five (5) years, respectively, to serve until successors are appointed and qualified. A successor appointed upon the expiration of the original term, shall serve a term of five (5) years. (Ord. 1443-65.)

Columbus City Codes § 951.04 Vacancies.

951.04 - Vacancies. Vacancies caused by death, resignation, removal from the county, or otherwise, shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments are made. (Ord. 1443-65.)

Columbus City Codes § 951.05 Duties of commission.

951.05 - Duties of commission. The duties of the Riverfront commission shall be as follows: To study the problems and determine the needs of the city relating to the orderly development of the Riverfront Area in accordance with the riverfront development plan; To advise the mayor, members of council, and other city officials of the needs of the city pertaining to the Riverfront Area; To correlate and co-ordinate the program of development prepared for the Riverfront Area and to advise the city officials concerning the expenditure of moneys and the methods of finance available for the development of the Riverfront Area.
