53-4-39. Spreading false reports; penalty Any person, firm, corporation or association which maliciously and knowingly spreads false reports about the management or finances of any association shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be subject to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) and not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each such offense.
