Austin City Code § 6-1-11 RELEASE OF REFRIGERANTS.

§ 6-1-11 - RELEASE OF REFRIGERANTS. (A) A person may not knowingly or intentionally release or cause to be released a refrigerant from a refrigeration system unless the major portion of the system refrigerant has been recovered. (B) A person may not knowingly or intentionally charge a refrigeration system: (1) unless the system has been tested for leaks within the previous three years; and (2) if a system test indicated a leak, the leak has been repaired. Austin City Code § 6-1-12 SALE OF REFRIGERANTS.

§ 6-1-12 - SALE OF REFRIGERANTS. A person may not knowingly or intentionally sell or offer to sell a Class I or Class II substance or other refrigerant, including R-11, R-12, R-22, R-500, and R-502, unless the purchaser is licensed by the State of Texas in accordance with Chapter 1302 (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License Law) of the Texas Occupations Code. Austin City Code § 6-1-13 FOAMS.

§ 6-1-13 - FOAMS. (A) A person may not knowingly or intentionally manufacture flexible foam using a Class I substance. (B) A person engaged in a construction, manufacturing, or packaging business may not knowingly or intentionally use a flexible foam produced by use of a Class I substance. Austin City Code § 6-1-14 REFRIGERATION CHILLERS.

§ 6-1-14 - REFRIGERATION CHILLERS. A person who owns or operates a centrifugal chiller that uses a refrigerant shall: (1) install leak monitoring equipment in the mechanical equipment room; (2) check the leak monitoring equipment at least once each month; (3) if the leak monitoring equipment registers a leak of 10.0 parts per million or more, repair the chiller within 30 days; and (4) if the chiller uses refrigerant R-11 and is not operated continuously, install and maintain a positive pressure device or a high efficiency purge device. Austin City Code § 6-1-15 NONESSENTIAL OZONE-DEPLETING COMPOUNDS.

§ 6-1-15 - NONESSENTIAL OZONE-DEPLETING COMPOUNDS. A person who sells an aerosol product may not knowingly or intentionally sell or offer to sell a refrigerant-propelled aerosol product that contains a Class I or Class II substance unless the product provides a necessary function and a suitable substitute does not exist.
