14X-5-505.5 Number of exits and exit access doorways. Every occupiable space within an existing building must be provided with not less than the minimum number of exits or exit access doorways required by Section 1006 of the Chicago Building Code. For purposes of this requirement, permitted fire escapes complying with Section 14X-5-505.12 are recognized as exits.
