Sec. 22.644. Policy and Management.

(a) The City Council, from time to time, upon recommendation from the appropriate council committee or the mayor, or upon its own initiative, may establish policies governing the activities of the Department. (b) The Department shall be under the control and management of a General Manager who shall administer its affairs as its Chief Administrative Officer. (c) The General Manager shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Council. The General Manager shall be appointed or removed in accordance with the provisions of the Los Angeles City Charter. SECTION HISTORY Article and Section Added by Ord No. 170,600, Eff. 8-11-95.
