No. 401-A By Council Members Vallone, Brannan, Holden, Powers, Ampry-Samuel, Constantinides, Levin, Kallos, Koslowitz, Rivera and Miller A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to animal shelters Be it enacted by the Council as follows: * * * [Consolidated provisions are not included in this Appendix A] * * * § 2. This local law takes effect on July 1, 2024; provided, however, that the department of health and mental hygiene shall submit to the mayor and the speaker on July 1, 2020 and biennially thereafter, until such date such shelters are open and operating, a report detailing the progress toward the opening of full-service shelters in the boroughs of Queens and The Bronx.
