4307.15 - Residential blocks.

No residential blocks shall be longer than 1,200 feet between street lines, except all blocks fronting on arterial and collector streets shall be not less than 1,500 feet between street lines unless existing conditions require different dimensions. The director may require a dedicated crosswalk near the center of blocks which are over 800 feet in length, provided, however, that no crosswalk shall be required unless it leads to a school or dedicated park or recreational area. The right-of-way of such crosswalk shall be not less than ten feet in width. In plotting normal residential lots, the area of which shall be from 5,000 to 20,000 square feet, the recommended depth of blocks should not exceed 350 feet.
