19.06.010 - Purpose, applicability and effect.

A. Purpose. The purpose of a minor plat is to simplify divisions of land under certain circumstances outlined in state law. B. Applicability. An application for approval of a minor plat may be filed only when all of the following conditions are met: 1. The proposed division results in four or fewer lots; 2. All lots in the proposed subdivision front onto an existing public street and the construction or extension of a street or alley is not required to meet the requirements of this title or any other ordinance; and 3. The plat does not require the extension of any municipal facilities to serve any lot within the subdivision, however, right-of-way widening and easements shall be permitted as part of a minor plat. C. Effect. Approval of a minor plat authorizes the recordation of the final plat in accordance with this title.
