2.56.010 - Certain appointments prohibited.

No officer of the city, nor any member of any city board, committee or commission, shall appoint, or vote for, or confirm the appointment to any nonpaid or nonsalaried office, position, employment or duty with the city, of any person related within the second degree by affinity or within the third degree by consanguinity to the person so appointing, voting or confirming, or to any other member of the board, committee or commission of which the person so appointing, voting or confirming may be a member.
