§ 39-33 — Terms of members

Sec. 39-33. - Terms of members.
The members of the Houston Clean City Commission shall serve the following terms: (1) The terms of office for members who hold even-numbered positions shall expire on February first of even-numbered years. (2) The terms of office for members who hold odd-numbered positions shall expire on February first of odd-numbered years. (3) The terms of office for district members shall expire on February first of the second year following the year of their appointment. (4) The terms of office for at-large members shall expire on February first of the second year following the year of their appointment. (5) Members whose terms have expired shall continue to serve until their successors are appointed and confirmed or their positions are eliminated due to a reduction in the size of the commission. (6) The terms of office for the three city employee positions shall coincide with the tenure of their appointments as department directors and employment as chief solid waste officer.
