Sec. 44-26. - Verification.

Each year before the adoption of an ordinance levying ad valorem taxes in the city, the city controller must furnish written verification as to whether the ad valorem tax rate proposed is expected to produce ad valorem property tax revenue collections during the then current fiscal year of no more than five percent more than the ad valorem property tax revenues collected in the immediately preceding fiscal year.
