Sec. 5-16. - Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) Amusement ride shall mean any device that carries or conveys passengers upon, along, around, or over a fixed or restrictive route or course or within a defined area, for the purpose of giving its passengers amusement, pleasure, thrills, or excitement. (2) Carnival shall mean any traveling enterprise which offers the use of one or more amusement rides.
