225-10. Main House Trap.

Main house traps may be removed in existing buildings where the roof terminals of conductors and rainwater leaders are favorably located. When main house traps are installed or replaced, they shall be provided with a fresh air inlet connected on the house side at least 2 feet from the water seal of the trap, and shall extend to the outer air, where it shall terminate with a 90 degree elbow turned down one foot above the permanent grade and 5 feet from any window, door or other air intake.
