A02.4 ADDITIONS, ALTERATIONS AND REPAIRS. (a) Additions, alterations, renovations and repairs to signs and sign structures shall conform to that required for new installation without requiring that the existing sign or sign structure to comply with all of the requirements of this code. Additions, alterations, renovations and repairs shall not cause existing sign or sign structure to become unsafe, hazardous or overloaded. (b) Minor additions, alterations, renovations and repairs to existing electrical systems and equipment shall be permitted in the same manner and arrangement as was in the existing system, provided that such repairs or replacement are not hazardous and are approved.
