17-72-502. Transfer of inmates to state prison. The sheriff of the county in which an individual is sentenced to confinement in the state prison, or is sentenced to death, shall cause the inmate to be removed from the county jail within five days after the day on which the inmate is sentenced and transferred to the state prison.
