Las Vegas Municipal Code § 16.12.010 National Electrical Code and supplement adopted.

16.12.010 - National Electrical Code and supplement adopted. Those certain documents, copies of which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and being marked and designated as follows, are adopted by reference as and for the City's Electrical Code: (A) The National Electrical Code, 2023 Edition, hereby designated as Part 1 of this Chapter; and (B) The Southern Nevada Amendments to the 2023 National Electrical Code, hereby designated as Part 2 of this Chapter. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 16.12.020 Compliance required.

16.12.020 - Compliance required. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the City or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of the Electrical Code. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine and/or imprisonment. Every day of such violation shall be a separate offense. (Ord. 2182 § 2 (part), 1981: prior code § 4-3-3)

Las Vegas Municipal Code § 16.12.030 Utilities exempted.

16.12.030 - Utilities exempted. Electric and telephone utilities operating under franchises granted by the city shall not be subject to the terms of this Chapter in performance of their State imposed duties with respect to electrical facilities owned and operated by the respective utility companies.
