§ 47-584. - Inspection and approval by City. (a) Whenever the owner of a proposed sanitary sewer shall commence the construction of such sewer, he shall notify the Public Works Director, and the Public Works Director shall thereupon place a qualified inspector on such construction job; the inspector shall remain on duty at all times during the construction of such sanitary sewer. (b) Such inspector shall see that such sewer is constructed in compliance with the laws of this State and in accordance with the plans and specifications as approved by the Public Works Director. (c) When such sewer is completed, if the Public Works Director finds that such sewer has been in all respects constructed as provided for in this chapter and that all fees provided for in this chapter have been paid, then the Director, upon the request of the owner of such sewer, shall authorize the connection of such sewer with the sanitary sewerage system of the City.
