Sec. 45-22. - Prohibited acts; penalties. (1) No pawnbroker shall enter into a contract for purchase, or purchase transaction, with any individual under the age of eighteen (18) years. (2) No pawnbroker shall violate the terms of the contract for purchase, and it shall be unlawful to do so. (3) It shall be unlawful for any customer knowingly to give false information with respect to the information required in R.M.C. section 45-17(1). (4) It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker to enter into a contract for purchase or a purchase transaction for any article normally manufactured with a serial number on which the serial number is missing, obliterated, defaced, or otherwise altered.
