Sec. 14-16-9. - Registration of elevators, escalators and dumbwaiters. The owner or lessee of every elevator, escalator, and dumbwaiter shall register with the office of planning and development each such elevator, escalator or dumbwaiter owned or operated by him or her, giving type, contract load and speed, name of manufacturer, its location and the purpose for which it is used and such other information as the division may require. Such registration shall be made on a form to be furnished by the division on request. (Code 1967, § 49-9; Code 1985, § 46-9)
