Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-101 Record book to be kept.

Sec. 55-101. - Record book to be kept. At the time of the receipt and also at the time of the delivery of any bicycle, or bicycle part, or bicycle accessory, or bicycle frame, every licensee under this article shall legibly enter in ink in a record book, furnished by the chief of police at a nominal cost, the date, day and hour, of such receipt or delivery, together with an accurate description of such bicycle or bicycle part, or bicycle accessory or bicycle frame, including the license number and the manufacturer, and the name, address and age of the person leaving or receiving the same. (Code 1950, § 945.5)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-102 Articles purchased to be held ten days before sale.

Sec. 55-102. - Articles purchased to be held ten days before sale. It shall be unlawful for any licensee to expose for sale, or sell, or dispose of any bicycle, or bicycle frame or bicycle part or bicycle accessory within ten (10) days of the time of purchasing the same. A tag furnished by the chief of police, at a nominal cost, shall be placed on the bicycle, bicycle frame or bicycle part, or bicycle accessory, thus to remain for a period of ten (10) days before the sale thereof. (Code 1950, § 945.6)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-103 Purchase from minors prohibited.

Sec. 55-103. - Purchase from minors prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any licensee to purchase any bicycle or parts of a bicycle, or bicycle frame or bicycle accessory, from any minor. (Code 1950, § 945.7)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-104 Dealers not to act as pawnbroker.

Sec. 55-104. - Dealers not to act as pawnbroker. It shall be unlawful for any licensee under this article to receive any article or thing by way of pledge or pawn; nor shall the licensee loan or advance any sum of money on any article or thing as security. (Code 1950, § 945.8)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-105 Defacing numbers unlawful.

Sec. 55-105. - Defacing numbers unlawful. It shall be unlawful for any person to deface, change, replace or tamper with the manufacturer's numbers on any bicycle or bicycle frame, or substitute another number therefor. (Code 1950, § 945.9)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-106 Return of stolen goods.

Sec. 55-106. - Return of stolen goods. When any person is found to the satisfaction of the licensee under this article to be the owner of stolen property which has been purchased or exchanged by the licensee, such property shall be returned to the owner thereof without the payment of the amount paid by the licensee thereon, or any cost or charges of any kind which the licensee may have placed upon the same. (Code 1950, § 945.10)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-107 Inspection by chief of police.

Sec. 55-107. - Inspection by chief of police. The chief of police, or any officer designated by the chief, shall have general supervision over all licensees under this article, and shall also have power to inspect their respective places of business and all articles or things kept therein, whenever the chief of police shall deem it necessary so to do. (Code 1950, § 945.11)

Denver Revised Municipal Code § 55-108 Exemptions for rental services.

Sec. 55-108. - Exemptions for rental services. Any licensee under this article engaging solely in the business of renting or loaning bicycles for hire shall not be subject to the requirements of sections 55-101, 55-102 and 55-123. (Code 1950, § 945.1)
