El Paso City Code § 12.24.010 Turn indicator placement authority.
12.24.010 - Turn indicator placement authority.
A. When the traffic engineer determines that the safety or convenience of traffic would be increased by prohibiting or by requiring turns at any intersection or into or from any traffic lane at such intersection, or by specifying the direction, manner or time of making such turn, or by limiting such turns to the time and direction indicated by an arrow on a traffic light, he is authorized to place markers, signs, buttons or signals (or any combination thereof) in or at such intersection, or along the approach thereto, so as reasonably to indicate the movement required, permitted or prohibited, notwithstanding such control at the specific intersection does not conform to the general traffic rules otherwise established.
B. When such traffic indicators are so placed, no person shall drive any vehicle otherwise than in obedience thereto.
